A Pineapple Tree?

Deputy Bill Angove and Charlie Fox were on patrol when they found a pile of apples under a tree. Later when Bill gave me the information he told me that they had found a pile of pineapples. After thirty-two years on the job, I didn't get surprised at what people do, but I wondered why someone would put pineapples out for deer . It wasn't until much later when I went to investigate that I saw the piles of apples under a pine tree. It was then I realized what Bill meant.

Apples, corn and salt blocks were often used to bait in animals. This man put out corn and marshmallows for bear.
